Switzerland can be the first team to advance to the
knockout rounds on Wednesday. A second Swiss win,
against Romania at the Parc des Princes in Paris, and a
six-point tally will assure the team’s qualification into
the round of 16.
On the other hand, Romania coach Anghel Iordanescu,
now in his third spell with the national team, is hoping
for a win. Although a draw for Romania wouldn’t be a
huge problem, as its last Group A match is against
Albania, which will take place at the same time the
Switzerland face the hosts.
Here is the confirmed XI for both the sides:
Romania: Tatarusanu, Sapunaru, Chiriches, Grigore, Rat,
Prepelita, Pintilii, Torje, Stancu, Chipciu and Keseru.
Switzerland: Sommer, Lichtsteiner, Schar, Djourou,
Rodriguez, Behrami, Xhaka, Shaqiri, Dzemaili, Mehmedi
